Joana Vasconcelos: The Art of Feminism in the modern political and social canvas.

Portuguese Joana Vasconcelos is an artist extraordinaire, who dwells in the world of Feminism Art.  Her artwork and installations convey the most dynamic expressions of feminism in this modern political and social landscape.

One of her remarkable installations that has truly captured the aspect of feminism was the chandelier sculpture titled  A Noiva [The Bride].  It was created with thousands of sparkling white pendants — 25K of OB Tampons!  Yeah, it seems weird and outrageous but the result was quite impressive.

The Bride, 6 meters high and 3 meters in diameter, was suspended from the ceiling in its glorious beauty.  She was absolutely stunning in her immaculate white gown!  :)
