Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta – tending the flickering old flame

Alas, after years of separation, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta have now a chance to tend the flickering old flame.  Walang Hanggan, a TV drama series of ABS-CBN, has paved the way to once again enliven the old moments encapsulated in the memory of former Philippine teen star lovers.

The unfaithfulness of Gomez in the old days, frolicking every lovely flower on his path, had led to the demise of his relationship with Zulueta.  That was in the ’90s.  The two have since parted ways for good and settled down with their chosen partner in life.

But now, they could reminisce their lovely old moments when playing their roles as not-so-young lovers on the screen.  And the TV series is a perfect setting, for it has been packed with painfully sad to watch drama episodes.  It offers a good chunk of melancholy and romantic moments, suffice to ignite their flickering old flame.  The questions is:  Would they be tempted to make a bonfire?

Well, over the course of time, they have both become matured and responsible individuals.  Their families, who love them dearly, have blessed them with trust and support for coming back to small screen together.  And they know pretty well that playing fire is a bit dangerous.

But, if for some reason a betrayal of trust would emerge in the future, no need to panic.  There is a saying, “We are just human.”
