Jennifer Lawrence Accepts Golden Globes Award for Best Supporting Actress

 

Jennifer Lawrence captured, once again, a coveted Golden Globes Award.  She was crowned Best Supporting Actress on Sunday night at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, for her role as the New Jersey housewife in “American Hustle” directed by David O. Russell.

The 23-year old star, donning a black-and-white Dior, accepted the award and gave a speech while shaking and trembling. She thanked her director and apologized for her nervousness.  She told the audience, “I don’t know why I’m so scared. I don’t know why I’m shaking so much.”

 

 

 

The other stars vying the golden statue were Julia Roberts in “August: Osage County,” Sally Hawkins for “Blue Jasmine,” June Squibb in “Nebraska,” and Lupita Nyong’o in “12 Years a Slave.”

And Jennifer Lawrence was the lucky gal.  This Golden Globes 2014 award is her second collection.  The first one was a 2013 Best Actress award for her performance in “Silver Linings Playbook” also directed by Russell.
