HOLLYWOOD, Los Angeles — A very emotional night for Lupita Nyong’o, winner of Academy Award 2014 for Best Supporting Actress in the film “12 Years a Slave” directed by Steve McQueen.
The Kenyan-Mexican actress emotionally accepted the award. She said, “It does not escape me that so much of the joy in my life comes from the pain of someone else. And so I want to salute the spirit of Patsey.”
