Japanese artist Goto Atsuko creates dream-like paintings — in beautifully soft and delicate portraits.
Japanese artist Goto Atsuko explores the natural order of life in dream-like paintings using pigments from lapis-lazuli and gum arabic. Her soft and delicate portrayal of life’s creation and death captures the ethereal beauty of her subjects as they are being overwhelmed by nature’s living creatures, consuming the human forms into death. The series of portraits, featured here, are otherworldly, eerie yet elegantly rendered, bursting with beauty and grace.
