Monica Lee: Hyper-realistic Pencil Drawings — absolutely amazing!
Monica Lee, a Malaysian artist, has inherited her love of hyper-realism from her father, who is a photographer. She’s fascinated with details, too. No wonder, her hyper-realistic graphite drawings exhibited stunning details. She says: “I like to challenge myself with complex portraits especially people with freckles or beard. And I’m addicted to details.”
Prior to exploring the world of graphite illustration, Lee spent 12 years in digital art. Nevertheless, her pencil drawings are incredibly photo-realistic. It doesn’t come easy though. She spends about 4 weeks to perfect a single piece, meticulously scrutinizing the details. And as always, the end result is an amazing piece of art!
