Beautiful drawings on the lunchbox napkins by Nina Levy
Nina Levy, an artist from Brooklyn, New York, has been drawing daily on napkins for her sons’ school lunch boxes. Yes, you read it right — Napkins!
Forget the sturdy paper or canvas, Levy could draw incredibly beautiful images on the soft and delicate napkins. Armed with an art marker, she would draw every night of whatever character her young kids could come up with. And now, since 2006, she has accumulated a staggering number of napkin artwork — over two thousand of colorful and vibrant drawings. She has drawn all kinds of popular characters such as teddy bear, dragon, lion, Batman and Robin, the cute little Minions, and many more. The drawings are amazingly impressive!
Nina has recently won the Tuaca Napkin Art Competition with her “Lions with Liquor” entry.
What started out as a brief nightly maternal indulgence for one child is now a sizable full color entitlement for two. I’ve amassed a huge collection of colored Sharpies, and have even resorted to buying pricey illustration markers for those shades that the Sharpie company does not provide. ~ Nina Levy
