This award, or should I say “Royal Honor”,  is an ancient one created by King George V in 1917.  Adele accepted the MBE medal, reserved for highly accomplished British, for her remarkable “services to music”.  This is what she had to say after the ceremony, as reported by People Magazine:  “It was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people.  Very posh indeed.”

The multi-awarded singer can now add this prestigious Royal Medal to her collection of trophies from Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, etc.

Congratulation Adele!
